This group of senior staff members (including the Principal) is responsible for the overall co-ordination
of the College. In particular, the group is responsible for ensuring that the Catholic ethos of the College
is maintained in its policies and practices. The Leadership Team is responsible for educational
leadership, pastoral care, effective curriculum delivery, day-to-day management and the implementation
of all policies within the school.
commenced as Principal of Clonard in 2010. Prior to this, he was the Principal
of Trinity College Colac. Damian brings to Clonard experience from five
Catholic Secondary Colleges across Victoria as a teacher and leader. Damian
teaches VCE Religious Education at Clonard and holds a Masters Degree
in Educational Leadership, an Executive Masters of Business Administration
and tertiary qualifications in Commerce and Religious
Assistant Principal - Learning & Teaching
Jo joined the Clonard staff in 2007 after teaching in Catholic education since 1991, principally in English and Humanities and has worked at Clonard as Head of Literacy since 2007 and English since 2009. Her current role is to assist Domains to produce curriculum that is contemporary, compliant with the National Curriculum initiatives and which has a distinctively student-centred approach. Jo also supports teachers to develop appropriate classroom teaching strategies to enhance student learning.
Assitant Principal - Staff
Richard has been a teacher at Clonard since 1996, and teaches mainly in the English and Media areas. Richard Jones has also been in a position of Leadership for most of that time. Richard's current role includes overseeing whole school Events, Staff Professional Development and working with the College Captains.
Assistant Principal - Pastoral Care
New to Clonard in 2014, after teaching in Catholic education since 1996, Kylie has held numerous positions of leadership in the areas of student wellbeing, student management and individualised learning. Kylie is responsible for strategic planning, organisation and implementation of student pastoral care / wellbeing initiatives and priorities. The overall coordination of programs to support and care for students within and beyond the classroom. Fundamental to her role is the drive to ensure a whole school approach to mental health is implemented and sustained within our community.
Assistant Principal - College Organisation
Dean has spent 16 years at Clonard, teaching mainly Arts, in particular Visual Communication. Dean's position as College Organisation Co-Ordinator ensures fluent organisation and communication throughout the school, as well as co-ordinating school events big and small throughout the year.
